Shared dashboards
Give anyone a read-only link to a site's Analytics tab. Make one per audience, each with its own password, locked filters and revenue.
A shared link shows a site's Analytics tab to people without a Pulsora account: a client, your team's Slack channel, or a public "open startup" page. They can't change anything, and they only see the Analytics tab.
A site can have up to 10 links. Give each audience its own: a public link with all traffic, a password-protected one for a client that only shows their campaign, and one for investors that includes revenue.
Shared links work on every plan, including the free trial.
Turn it on
- Open the site's Analytics tab.
- Select Share.
- Name the link, for example
Client: Acme, and select Create link. Tick Lock the filters applied now to lock your current filters on it straight away. - Select Copy and send it.
Select a link's name to change its settings. You need to be able to edit the site to manage its links.
What viewers see
- The Analytics tab with live numbers: overview, pages, sources, countries, devices, goals, links, events, AI traffic and peak hours.
- The date range picker, the Filter menu, and rows they can click to filter. See locked filters for what changes when you lock some.
- A Read only badge, and no access to settings, exports, live visitors or other tabs.
The page tells search engines not to index it, and it doesn't send the link to sites a viewer clicks through to.
Password
Set a password on a link to ask viewers for it before showing any data. A viewer stays unlocked until they leave the dashboard for 2 hours. Changing or removing the password, or creating a new URL for the link, signs everyone out.
Viewers get 5 tries a minute.
Locked filters
To share only part of your traffic, apply filters on the Analytics tab first, then select Lock the filters applied now on the link. Viewers always see those filters, with a lock icon, and can't remove them. They can still change the date range and click rows to filter further.
A link with locked filters leaves out what can't be limited to that traffic: the Filter menu, which lists values from the whole site, and the Goals, Links, Events and AI traffic panels.
Select Unlock to let viewers see all traffic again.
Revenue
Revenue is hidden by default. Pulsora removes it before the data leaves the server, including goal revenue, event revenue and AI traffic conversions. Tick Show revenue to include it.
Stop sharing
- New URL replaces a link's URL and keeps its settings. The old URL stops working right away.
- Delete link removes it. Your other links keep working.
