Email reports

Get a weekly or monthly summary of a site in your inbox. Each team member turns it on for themselves.

An email report is a short summary of one site: visitors, pageviews, top pages, sources and countries. You pick weekly, monthly or both, per site. It only changes your own inbox, nobody else's on the team.

Email reports work on every plan, including the free trial.

Turn it on

  1. Open the site's Analytics tab.
  2. Select Reports.
  3. Tick Weekly summary, Monthly summary, or both.

Any team member can do this, Viewers included. The Reports button shows a dot while a report is on.

When it arrives

  • Weekly: Mondays at 8:00 in the site's timezone. It covers the week before, Monday to Sunday.
  • Monthly: on the 1st at 8:00 in the site's timezone. It covers the month before.

Days are counted the same way as the dashboard's date picker, so the numbers match what you see for that range on the Analytics tab.

You don't get an email for a period with no visits. Reports stop if the team's trial ends without a plan, if you leave the team, or if the site is deleted.

What's in it

  • Visitors and pageviews, with the change from the period before. "New" means there was nothing to compare with.
  • Bounce rate and average visit duration.
  • Top 5 pages, sources and countries by visitors.
  • Revenue, with its change, if the site had any.
  • Goals that converted, if any.
  • An Open dashboard button.

The monthly report compares with the previous calendar month, so October is compared with September.

Unsubscribe

Every email has an Unsubscribe link at the bottom. It opens a page that asks you to confirm, and you don't need to log in. Your mail app's own unsubscribe button works too.

Unsubscribing from weekly reports keeps monthly ones, and the other way round. To turn a report back on, use Reports on the Analytics tab.
