Cookieless analytics

Count every visitor without a single cookie.

The tracking script stores nothing in the browser: no cookies, no localStorage, no sessionStorage. Visitors are counted with a hash made on the server, from a salt that rotates on a schedule you choose. No consent banner needed for analytics.

<script

  data-token="YOUR_PUBLIC_TOKEN"
></script>

<!-- Nothing is written to cookies or storage. -->

Benefits

  • Nothing in the browser

The script keeps a random session ID in memory for the page load and nothing else. There is nothing to read, clear or consent to.

  • A hash, not an identity

A visitor is a SHA-256 hash of the IP address, user agent, site and the site’s salt. The IP address is never written to pageview, event or revenue records.

  • Salt you control

Each site’s salt rotates every 24 hours by default. Choose 3, 7, 14 or 30 days, or rotate it by hand. After a rotation, new visits can’t be linked to old ones.

Good for

  1. Sites that want analytics without a consent banner
  2. Teams in the EU working under GDPR and ePrivacy rules
  3. Replacing Google Analytics without tracking people across sites
  4. Products whose users block or clear cookies
